With a good prompt, a chatbot can write a decent answer. Everything around the answers is left to you: finding every criterion and limit in the tender pack, checking each answer against them, making sure nothing was invented, and keeping dozens of answers in order. BidShortlist does that work. It drafts from your evidence, shows what backs each answer, has a separate AI reviewer score it, reads the whole bid for contradictions, explains every change it makes and exports a Word bid pack.

Yes. You bring the tender you want to win, from AusTender, a state portal or a council, and upload it.

PDF and Word (.docx). Most tenders come as a pack, so upload all of it together: up to 10 files per bid. Each PDF can be up to 20 MB (22 MB of PDFs in total) and each Word file up to 15 MB. Older .doc files, spreadsheets and zip files aren’t accepted yet: save them as PDF or .docx, or unzip them first. You can also paste the tender text instead.

Upload them all. BidShortlist reads the whole pack together, so response schedules and addenda are included. If the tender mentions a document you didn’t upload, it tells you. Questions that only exist inside an online portal won’t appear, so check the portal as well.

Yes. On the Evidence page you can upload up to 10 PDF or Word documents at a time. BidShortlist reads them once, pulls out the facts (policy numbers, expiry dates, what’s covered) for you to check, and deletes the files. Only the facts you accept are kept, and they’re reused on every bid.

Yes. Upload your documents, paste or describe your business, or answer a few questions and a capability statement is written for you.

No. Answers are built only from the evidence you give it. It won’t invent projects, numbers, staff or certificates. The more detail in your evidence, the stronger and more specific the answers.

The answer waits for you. It shows what’s needed, you type it in (and can save it to your evidence for next time), and it redrafts. Or ask for a starter answer with the gaps marked [ADD: …] so you can fill them in yourself. Anything still marked is flagged before you export.

Only if your evidence states them explicitly. Declarations about conflicts of interest, litigation, insolvency or incidents are otherwise left for you to confirm, and flagged so you don’t miss them.

No. The panel score is an AI assessment: BidShortlist’s reviewer marks each answer out of 100 against its criterion and your evidence, the way an evaluation panel would. “Win-ready” means it found nothing material to fix in that answer. Whether you win also depends on your price, the other bids and the real panel’s judgement, so treat the score as a guide to what to improve, not a prediction.

Always. Edit any answer directly, or redraft it. If a redraft is worse, undo it. The first undo on each answer gives the redraft back too.

A Word document set out as a bid pack: every answer with its word count, what’s still outstanding, a compliance summary, a schedule of attachments, a lodgement checklist and a plain-text copy of each answer for pasting into portal fields. You check it and lodge it yourself.

Yes. Your first bid gets the whole workflow, no credit card needed. You only pay if you want to do more.

Pay as you go is $149 per bid. Professional is $199 a month for up to 15 bids, or $1,990 a year. Teams is $499 a month for up to 30 bids. Every plan includes panel review and the Word export. Prices are in Australian dollars.

Yes. Monthly subscriptions have no lock-in or cancellation fee. Pay as you go has no commitment at all.

Only you. Your documents are stored privately in your account, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never published, sold or shown to other users.

To draft and check your bids, your tender and evidence are sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic (the maker of Claude), and processed to produce your results. Payments are handled by Stripe. The Privacy Policy lists every provider we use.

Yes. Delete any bid and its uploaded documents from your dashboard, or delete your whole account in Settings, which removes your data and files.
